For Windows Users:

  1. Click Here To Download BersIRC. It's Freeware

    You can also find it on the web at

  2. Run the program bersirc135.exe to start setting up the Chat Software on your Windows computer.

    It starts in the usual fashion. Just be Sure to type something in the profile name box as below.


  3. After a few steps the following screen should appear.

    Fill in the fields with information, as it relates to you.

    Just be sure to set the value of IRC Server to

    irc.mircx.com

    Incidentally, the nickname fields will contain the name that others see you as.


  4. And Voila!!!


  5. When you get to the point below, click on Add


  6. Now a pop up window as below should appear. Type exactly

    #acrs.cjb.net

    in the name field.

    Fill in the other fields too.


  7. When you start the program you should find
    • The program automatically connects you to irc.mircx.com

      If it doesn't just type:

      /server irc.mircx.com

      (See Below for the spot in the program to type it.)

    • and that the below window appears.

      With your mouse select #acrs.cjb.net and click join!

      If it doesn't type

      /join #acrs.cjb.net

      (See Below for the spot in the program to type it.)


  8. After you close the extra windows, the ones to the left and right in the main window you should have something along the lines of:

    In that very bottom spot type anything you feel like saying! Once you press "enter" it will be displayed!
