The waiver order is selected at the draft. The higher up a team is on the waiver list, the better his chances are of picking up the player of his choice. Position on the waiver list is protected during the first hour of call-in night only.
Example: waiver list in order 1,2,3,4,5,6,etc.. If team 3 asks for player X at 7:15 and team 1 asks for X at 7:30, team 1 gets his player. But Had team 1 called after 8:00 then team 3 would get X.
Each team starts the season with 3 waiver picks, making 3 rounds of 16 picks. When a team makes their first waiver pick, they move to the first available spot of the second waiver round. When a team makes their second waiver pick, they move to the first available spot of the third waiver round. If a team does not use all their picks by the end of week 10 call-in night, the picks are lost and gone forever.
If at any time during the Fantasy Football season a player is placed on the I.R. (injured reserve) list by his NFL team, that player may be dropped for another player of the same position, without his Fantasy owner losing 1 of his waiver picks. The I.R. pick takes preference over a waiver pick in the first hour of call-in.
Only players DRAFTED can be traded. Fantasy teams are allowed to trade players, however there is a restriction to only 1 trade allowed between 2 teams. This is to avoid 2 owners trying to assemble a powerhouse. Trades can be 1 for 1, 2 for 2, or 1 for 1 plus a waiver pick. The waiver pick will be turned over to the receiving team, with the trading team being placed in the next available spot in the next round of waivers.
NOTE: The deadline for waiver picks is Wednesday November 5 (week 10 call-in night)
